Finished in its original colour combination of Silver Green POLY metallic (DB-861) coachwork with Moss Green velour trim (906), Burr woodwork dash, fascia and instruments. Green carpets and a perforated headlining run throughout the beautiful cockpit. Being the top-of-the-line long wheel base model this example benefits from a host of non-standard options which included;

Supplied new through North London agents, Alan Day Mercedes Benz and first registered on 25^th June 1979. This example has been in the same single ownership just short of forty-five years and covered an average annual mileage of just 898 miles under their care. 

Stepping behind the wheel of this SEL can only be described as travelling. back to 1979 when Ian Dury & The Police were chart toppers. The cabin has never been smoked in and looks and feels new. The velour shows no signs of wear even to the edges of the driver's seat piping. The rear seats have never been sat in, the colour is bright and sharp with no fade from the sun. The carpets have two sets of over mats for protection with top being Mercedes-Benz star rubber mats. All the glass including the side ¾ and even the front windscreen our all factory original etched 'West Germany'. The dealer registration plates and rear window sticker are still fitted with pride after all these years. Open the bonnet and examine the engine bay the alloy cam covers are gleaming still with its correct decals attached. The stainless-steel window frames and door handles are all gleaming and not pitted and the alloy frame and front scuttle are not discoloured and oxidised.

On file we have the original hand book pack, which includes the original factory supplied service book and data card plus all sets of spare keys again with dealer key ring.
