In 2012, Audi launched the S1’s extremely rare predecessor, the Audi A1 Quattro – it’s the most aggressive Audi A1 ever created, and only 333 were sold worldwide. Just 19 of these were sold in the UK, and 12 are apparently still in the country.
This specific limited edition Audi offers an agile, dynamic ride, powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with output of 252bhp and 258lb-ft of torque. The 6-speed manual transmission and quattro all-wheel drive make for smooth gear changes and supreme traction.
All 333 Audi A1 Quattro cars were built as left-hand drive and featured LED daytime running lights, electric sports bucket seats, Xenon headlights, a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, automatic air conditioning, a sports exhaust and unique Quattro badging. Compared to the standard Audi A1, more than 600 alterations were made to create the A1 Quattro.
Sitting in the sports-oriented cabin, enjoy a low-slung driving position, feel the leather sports steering wheel and textured gear lever, and rest your feet on the well-positioned aluminium pedals – put your foot down to reach 0 – 62mph in just 5.7 seconds, all the way up to a top speed of 152mph.
